The OU Daily named hybrid Crown Finalist by Columbia Scholastic Press Association

The OU Daily learned Wednesday that it is a hybrid Crown Finalist as named by the Columbia Scholastic Press Association. It was one of 11 newsrooms selected nationally in the hybrid news category for online/print publications. In addition to The Daily, others to receive the honor are:

Ball State Daily
Indiana Daily Student
Iowa State Daily
The Baylor Lariat
The Columbia Chronicle (Chicago)
The Daily Pennsylvanian
The Daily Toreador (Texas Tech)
The Flare (Kilgore College)
The Ithacan
The Los Angeles Loyolan

Crown Finalists will receive their plaques in March in New York while also learning which added distinction they will earn, Gold or Silver crowns. Entries are drawn from work produced in the 2017-18 academic year, when Jesse Pound was the fall editor and Kelli Stacy was the spring editor.

Last year The Daily won a Silver Crown.
