The OU Daily learned Tuesday that it is a hybrid Crown finalist as named by the Columbia Scholastic Press Association. It was one of 11 newsrooms selected nationally in the hybrid news category for online/print publications. In addition to The Daily, others to receive the honor are:

Crown Finalists will receive their plaques in March while also learning which added distinction – Gold or Silver – they will earn. Entries are drawn from work produced in the 2019-20 academic year.
According to available records, The Daily has previously earned 14 Gold Crowns – including two consecutive and three in the past five years – along with 10 Silver crowns.
