How to upload and distribute
- Once the podcast is edited, make sure it has a graphic or photo to go with it.
- We upload our podcasts to Spreaker and you can distribute to Spotify and Apple Music from this site.
- Log into Spreaker (get credentials from editor or adviser)
- Click “Create” in the Navigation Bar
- Then click “Upload your podcast”
- On the sidebar, click “Podcasts”
- Click “Create New Podcast.” Give it a title, category, add the graphic/image and give it a description. Click “Create” at the bottom of the page.
- Now, click “Upload Episodes” and select the file your adding
- Once it’s uploaded, click on the pencil icon to edit it. Give it a proper title. Click “Public” under “Visibility.” Give it a description and tags.
- Click “Publish”
- Now, it’s time to distribute.
- Click “Distribution” from the list of options on the side.
- Submit it to Apple Podcasts (get credentials from editor or adviser)
- Submit to Spotify (get credentials from editor or adviser)
- You can log into SoundCloud separately and upload it there is desired.
- Now, it’s been distributed and uploaded. Apple and Spotify will have to review and approve it. Apple can take a few hours to days. Spotify typically is pretty quick so just keep checking back on Spreaker to see when it’s been added.
Spreaker and Soundstripe are auto subscriptions. But we can’t do auto subs because of university policy. CANCEL Soundstripe and Spreaker BEFORE March 6, 2021 or we will get in trouble. You can then ask Jungman to purchase these subscriptions again once the current subscription is canceled and expires. Seth has a calendar reminder set to cancel these as well.
