Will Conover placed 11th in the nation Wednesday in the Hearst Awards’ multimedia narrative storytelling category for a piece produced last January recapping the 2019 football season.
The contest names the top 20 college multimedia journalists in the nation.
This marks The Daily’s third placement of the 2020-21 Hearst cycle, which staggers its category deadlines throughout the academic year. It also follows Conover placing in 18th in the same Hearst category during the 2019-20 Hearst cycle. He graduated in December and now is with RPA Advertising.
Last year, staffers from The Daily placed nine times in various Hearst categories. Since 2014-15, The Daily now has placed 20 times in the contest, which honors the best in collegiate journalism.
