Daily staffers George Stoia and Will Conover this evening placed in the SPJ 2019 Mark of Excellence Awards national contest, which honors the best of collegiate journalism.
Stoia took first place in the large-school sports writing category for “Concussions, consequence and conscience: OU great Rickey Dixon reflects on career that’s killing him.”
Conover was a finalist in online/digital sports videography for pre- and post-game videos throughout football season.
