The newsroom is located in Copeland Hall on the South Oval. The newsroom houses 75-100 students per semester who come together to put out the The Oklahoma Daily newspaper and oudaily.com.

The newsroom and surrounding space used to house the massive newspaper press, when Student Media was in the printing business. In the early 90's, the press was sold and Student Media began to contract out its press services to local papers such as The Edmond Sun and The Norman Transcript (current). When the press was dismantled and shipped off, that space was then re-designed into a newsroom similar to what you see in most major papers.
