Brian has worked for Student Media for four years following one year in OU's IT group. His career has jumped between information technology and media technology, and he loves both with a passion. You can often find him in the newsroom or multimedia area, consulting with students and sharing opinions on news, technology and sports. He also hangs out in Features, asking the Sooner staff that he's proud of them or if his beloved yearbook is finished yet.

Prior to coming to OU, Brian gained extensive regional and international business experience, including management of a joint venture between the Oklahoma Publishing Company and the United Kingdom's News International group of publications.


Brian is a 1990 graduate of The University of Oklahoma, played baseball at OU and was also a member of Lamda Chi Alpha. Brian resides in Norman with his wife Kristan, son Gray and daughter Aimee as well as three dogs, a cat and a horse.

 What you wanted to be when you grew up: A professional baseball player and a color commentator  after my career.
 What you most want students to know: I care about your time here and your career after you're gone.
 How you spend a typical evening: I like spending my time around my family and playing with the kids,  the cat, the four dogs and occasionally the horse. (No, he's not in our backyard... yet)
 Dream vacation: I've already been there: Cayman Islands on my honeymoon with my wonderful wife.

 What you're most proud of: Gray, my son, and Aimee, my daughter.
 You wouldn't be caught dead: at a Justin Bieber concert.

 Where you'll be found on gameday: In the stadium or arena. Neither rain, nor snow, nor sleet, nor hail  shall keep me from an OU sporting event that I can attend.
 Your sartorial style: Sharp dressed man.
 Best advice you ever received: You always want to be happy in your job.
