People always ask me, 'What brought you to Charlotte?" They try guessing and usually get it wrong. In Charlotte, N.C., it's all about NASCAR and banking.

For me, it's about Hispanic advertising and home improvement. I work for Cultura, a Hispanic advertising agency based in Dallas. I moved to Charlotte to work directly with one of our largest clients, Lowe's Home Improvement.

My work consists of creative presentations, approvals, TV and radio productions, photo shoots, brand integrations and a lot of status calls. I'm fortunate to be able to watch projects go from concept to production, and I have a hand in the entire process. 

I feel the same type of pride that I had while at Student Media. Every day I had a hand in delivering a product to 25,000 + people and witnessed the birth of new projects and endeavors. I thank Student Media for preparing me for the fast-paced world of advertising and giving me the ability to apply real-world experience while in college.
